This index contains the names of all brides and grooms found in marriage books 1 through 20 at the Greene County, Pennsylvania courthouse in Waynesburg. These marriage books cover the period from 1885 through the first half of 1929. The index is divided into two sections, the first sorted by groom and the second sorted by bride. Included are the name and age (for books 6-20) of the bride and groom, date and place of the marriage and book and page number where the record is found. In cases where a marriage license was issued but no marrriage information was returned, the date of marriage is left blank. The complete marriage records can be found in the County Clerk’s office at the courthouse.
